About us

2008

Ever since its first prototype, Seinon has focused on facilitating and automating energy management by reducing the carbon footprint of companies through energy efficiency. It all started when we realised that on completion many photovoltaic systems were left to their fate without any type of control on their production and performance. This meant that the annual production was less than what had been estimated theoretically. If the systems are not controlled and their output is not measured, inefficiencies are not detected and the ROI drops.

2010

The company is set up to provide for any type of system (industrial, tertiary, agricultural). The lack of control on energy consumption at that time, mainly that of Spanish companies, was resulting in extra expenses and CO2 emissions attributable to the fossil fuel dependent energy mix.

2012

It has been given various awards from the Spanish Ministry of Employment and Social Security, and the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, which reinforce the commitment of Seinon to energy management and the internationalization of the company.

2014

SUEZ Advanced Solutions joins as a partner. A Group that provides comprehensive and sustainable water and energy management solutions, which contributes to the circular economy and reduces the impact on the environment. It belongs to a corporate group with almost 90,000 employees in 5 continents, with more than 45,0000 clients and a turnover of 15,870 million euros.

2021

The pandemic caused by COVID19, has proved that it is possible to control and run systems remotely with optimum energy efficiency. This makes energy management easier by using customized dashboards that obtain data on the energy production of the whole solar farm, the decarbonisation indicators and the sustainability of companies and authorities.

What do we do for energy efficiency?

Almost all our team works from home, which saves on thousands of daily trips to the offices. This minimizes our carbon footprint by not having to go back and forth every day.

A large part of the assistance to clients is provided remotely through video conferencing. It reduces the energy required to travel around, and it improves the immediacy in the service.

Bicycles are welcome in our offices. They are an environmentally friendly means of transport, they promote a healthy body and mind.

When we have to travel we try to use public transport, so that less energy is used by each person than what is required when everyone uses their own vehicle.

In order to minimize the carbon footprint related to transport, we try to have our suppliers in the most immediate geographical area. If a meeting has to be held and package has to be sent off, everything is arranged to use as little energy as possible.

Through a flexible dress code and offices that have natural ventilation and a good orientation, we can minimize the use of air conditioning systems and by using them as little as possible, we can cut down on the associated energy consumption.
